Deliveries, Warranties & Returns

Delivery

After ordering online, you will receive an email confirmation containing your order details. We will confirm receipt of your order within a few minutes of ordering. We use Australia Post E-Parcel System when dispatching your goods.

Other than Mattresses/Bases (where you will be contacted and delivery details discussed with you) we will dispatch your order normally within 12-24 hours. Mattress ticking (fabric cover) may vary from images used. 

Our delivery fee is a low rate of $11.95 for any purchase in Australia excluding WA (Western Australia is $14.95) and FREE for items over $150 anywhere in Australia (excluding mattresses, bases and living aid equipment) & currently excluding WA due to emergency flood surcharges that are being charged by Australia Post.

Mattresses and bases attract a delivery fee based on your geographical location and may differ from product to product. 

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY – ONLY WITHIN AUSTRALIA.

Warranty

There is a standard 12 month warranty provided by Mattress & Pillow Science on all items sold on this site. There is also a Manufacturer’s Warranty for each item which could be as long as 16 years. This is dependent on each manufacturer and may differ from category to category of merchandise

The warranty applies to any defects in the product resulting from the manufacturing process. This excludes normal wear and tear. These warranties are over and above the warranty prescribed by the prevailing consumer law.  Please refer to product details or email us on info@pillowscience.com.au for further details if you need further clarification.

 

Refunds and Returns

We offer a satisfaction guarantee on most of our items. The length of this will vary from product to product, based on the nature of the item and the manufacturer.

Pillows

Somna Medica ™

Somna Medica™ Pillows carry a 90 Day Satisfaction Guarantee. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase we will give you a 90 Day money back guarantee from the time you receive the goods. Please email us at info@pillowscience.com.au within that time if you are not satisfied with your purchase so that we can resolve any problems. This refund policy does not apply to goods that have been damaged or soiled after delivery, or if any attempt has been made to alter the product. You may elect to receive a refund or a Swap-Over. All delivery and insurance costs are to be paid by the buyer. You may be charged a $20 admin/sanitization fee If you wish to avail yourself of the 90 day Satisfaction Guarantee on a pillow purchase. You will need to purchase a pillow protector on the same order. All returned pillows are either donated to charity or sold into the hospitality industry. The refund provided will be your purchase price excluding the initial delivery costs less postage paid. If you purchased the item free of delivery then an amount equal to what the delivery costs were will be deducted from your refund.

We recommend that you return the product via Registered Post and that you pre-pay all postage. You assume any risk of loss, theft or damage to goods during transit. We therefore advise you take out shipment registration of insurance with your postal carrier. Mattress & Pillow Science will not be responsible for parcels lost or damaged in transit if you choose not to insure.

Other Pillows

All Pillows other than Somna Medica ™carry a 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase we will give you a 30 Day money back guarantee from the time you receive the goods. Please email us at info@pillowscience.com.au within that time if you are not satisfied with your purchase so that we can resolve any problems. Quilts/Quilt Covers/Bed Linen/Toppers and any Non Mattress or Pillow Items

All Quilts/Quilt Covers/Bed Linen/Toppers and any Non Mattress or Pillow Items carry a 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase we will give you a 30 Day money back guarantee from the time you receive the goods. Please email us at reecel@selfcare.com.au within that time if you are not satisfied with your purchase so that we can resolve any problems. Refunds on these items will only be provided if the goods are returned unopened, unused and in the original packaging. The aim of this is to place you in the same position as if you were purchasing from a retail store, except in the comfort of your own home. The refund provided will be your purchase price excluding the initial delivery costs less postage paid. If you purchased the item free of delivery then an amount equal to what the delivery costs were will be deducted from your refund.

Mattresses are sold with a Manufacturer’s Warranty or Guarantee, which may be as long as 16 years. Terms and conditions of these vary by manufacturer. 

Living & Mobility Aid Equipment

All of our living and mobility aid products come with a Manufacturer's Warranty or Guarantee, which may be as long as 10 years. Terms and conditions of these vary by manufacturer. 

We do not offer a satisfaction guarantee on any of our living aid or mobility equipment. We do not accept returns on any of these products once delivered. 

JUNO Mattress – 120 Night Money Back Guarantee

The Juno Sleep Mattress comes with a 120 No Questions Asked Money Back Guarantee. If for any reason you are unhappy with the mattress, email or call us and we will organize for the mattress to be collected and you will receive your refund within 14 days

All Other Mattresses

All other Mattresses - In addition to this warranty Mattress and Pillow Science will provide you with Comfort Guarantee. Over the past 15 years in the mattress industry we have ascertained that customers may take a little time to get used to their new mattress. It can take up to 3 weeks to acclimatize to a new mattress. At his point you will know whether the mattress is right for you.

So for complete peace of mind we offer a 30 night Comfort Guarantee. You may return your mattress within this period if you are not happy with your purchase and we will allow you to exchange it for another one. This Comfort Guarantee is over and above any warranties/guarantees provided by the manufacturer and prevailing consumer protection legislation.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The mattress must have been slept on for a minimum of 14 nights.
  2. The exchanged mattress must be the same size as the original.
  3. You are entitled to one exchange only.
  4. You may exchange the mattress for a mattress of no less value than the one you purchased. If you do, then we will assume the replacement mattress is of the same value as the original.
  5. If the replacement mattress is of more value you will be expected to pay the difference.
  6. You will need to purchase a mattress protector with the purchase on the same invoice – we recommend the Protect-A-Bed brand.
  7. You will need to ensure that the mattress is placed on a structurally sound base. If using timber slats they should not be arched and must be no more than 8CM apart.
  8. The guarantee only applies to ranges of mattresses where the queen size is valued over $1,000.
  9. All returned mattresses must be in good, unsoiled condition with existing packaging so it can be protected when returned.
  10. All returned mattresses are donated to charity or sold into the hospitality industry
  11. An administration fee will be applied to all returned mattresses starting from $300 but varies on size of the mattress.
  12. If you live in a remote or rural area you will be required to pay delivery or arrange for the return mattress at your expense.
  13. This comfort guarantee does not apply to bases, custom orders and special sizes.
  14. All exchanges are subject to Mattress and Pillow Science’s approval
